Export Audiences with Product Interactions & Attributes
Updated over a month ago

Within Bluecore, you can export audiences to other channels, including productized paid media channels (i.e. TikTok), non-productized paid media channels, (i.e. Snapchat), and CDPs (customer data platforms). You can export your Bluecore data to any platform via secure file transfer protocol (SFTP).

Now, export product attributes related to what a shopper has interacted or behaved with, per shopper in your audience! This helps retailers to enhance customer data outside of Bluecore and deliver personalized relevant experiences wherever their shoppers are.

If you are looking to set up an audience export, and it does not involve input products, please refer to this article.

NOTE: Audience exports (output includes emails and/or phone numbers) are paid add-ons per integration. Input products are a separate, additional paid add-on for audience exports. Please contact your Customer Success Manager to upgrade.

USE CASES

Audience exports with input products can be sent to destinations such as CDPs, CDWs, direct mail vendors, mobile push vendors, for use cases such as:

  • Including references to recently purchased products in a post-purchase campaign in direct mail

  • Including pictures of recently viewed products in a mobile push campaign

  • Sending a (non-triggered) back in stock campaign through another SMS vendor

CREATE A CUSTOM INTEGRATION

When creating a custom integration, Bluecore recommends using a service account for SFTP access instead of a personal account.

Using a personal account may cause the SFTP integration to fail if changes are made to the account, like password updates.

1. Navigate in Bluecore to the Data > Integrations page.

2. Click New Integration.

3. Click Custom Integration to configure your data export.

4. Click the General tab.

5. On the Settings subtab, configure the following:

  • Vendor Name: Name of the vendor the data is being exported to (e.g., Bluecore SFTP, Pinterest, Twilio, etc.)

6. On the Definitions subtab, select the following:

  • Definitions: Select the attributes (including phone numbers) you want to make available for export. Once these fields are selected in the integration, they become available in the export configuration process below.

    • NOTE: To export the ids of the input products, under Product select “ID” (for the product ID), and other product attribute fields as required.

7. Navigate to the Authentication tab in the left-hand column and configure the following destination settings:

  • Host: Configure the host to triggermail.files.com if you are sending to the Bluecore SFTP.

  • Username and Password: These are the credentials for your SFTP host. Please use your credentials that are configured with the SFTP. If you’re using the Bluecore SFTP, please enter your Bluecore SFTP credentials.

8. Navigate to the Campaign in the left-hand column.

9. Complete the File Settings section to ensure that the information is sent and received in the expected format.

Note: To export the file to Bluecore's Files.com instance, the directory should include the client's folder name (usually the Namespace) and the directory path. For example: /clientNamespace/audience_exports.

To export the file to a non-Bluecore hosted file share, use the necessary directory path. For example: /exports/audience_exports.

  • TIP: If the directory doesn’t exist, a new one will be created.

  • These values are just to set default configuration and it can be updated when creating/editing the campaign.

  • Typical defaults are Character Encoding:

    • UTF-8

    • Row Delimiter: Windows

10. Click Save in the lower right-hand corner.

11. Navigate back to the Authentication subtab.

12. Refresh this page.

13. Click Connect to validate the connection.

14. Click Save to save the configuration information for the data export.
